The Nikki Jordan Life Coaching Chat Room

Hi, All! In case you missed it, I am, FINALLY, getting my Nikki Jordan Life Coaching Chat Room set up!!!!! I’m SO EXCITED because I’ve wanted a way that we can discuss live! I have so many things that I want to share with you and have great hope that you, too, will share with me! So, this is the first step.

Also,  I’m not getting many comments or much feedback about what you all are enjoying or not or even what you think. I REALLY want to know!!! Maybe the chat room will be a place that we can do that. I’m praying that it will.  Tell me. What topics would you like to see me cover? I specialize in relationships and communication. I teach about self esteem and how to overcome negative thinking. There’s so much more that I’m qualified to help you figure out.

If you like what I have to say on here, then maybe you’d like to go further into your self actualization by working one on one with me. For those of you who don’t live close enough to see me face to face, then we can, certainly, work over the phone or even online. The choice is yours. My rates are reasonable and my hours are flexible for the most part.

I’m eager to have the opportunity to help you become all you were created to be!!!
God bless,

Nikki

The Hiding Place

Nikki gives this movie a rating of 5/5 stars!! If you like biographical movies, then you will love The Hiding Place!!!

The Hiding Place was a wonderful movie based on the life of Corrie Ten Boom and her family during the Nazi invasion of Holland. The Ten Boom family, being dedicated Christian people started taking in Jews who were living with the threat of death at the hands of the Nazi regime. Ultimately, the family is betrayed and they are separated and placed into concentration camps. This story is sad, but also hopeful. There’s much hope in knowing that a family would place their lives at stake to prevent the death of countless Jews.

I HIGHLY recommend this movie if you are history, biography, or auto-biography buff. It’s a story of hope and miracles!!!

Enjoy,
Nikki

Entering Into The Rest Of God

I’m loving this verse!!!!

Hebrews 3:19

19 So we see that they were not able to enter [into His rest], because of their unwillingness to adhere to and trust in and rely on God [unbelief had shut them out]. [Num. 14:1-35.]

They weren’t able to enter into the rest of God because they wouldn’t trust Him. We, often, forget or sugar coat it, but unbelief is a SIN! It’s a HUGE SIN!

Let’s learn to believe, trust, and OBEY God so that WE may enter into His rest without going around the proverbial mountain a thousand times when it should have only taken us ONCE!!!

I love you all!

Coping With Fear and Anxiety

Source: Daily Devotional – Scripture – Teaching | Joyce Meyer Ministries

Here’s a thought that Joyce Meyer shared in her devotional today.  She addresses the issue of fear. Fear is something that EVERY person has struggled with at some point in life including me. Fear used to be a HUGE part of my life. So many people that I coach are so stricken with fear that they are simply paralyzed!!!  So, what’s a person to do?

Well, the best advice that I can give is that we must learn to trust God with the things that we fear. So, how can we do that? Well, here are some tips.

  • Memorize scriptures that comfort you. Here is a scripture that I love.
    • 1 John 4:18King James Version (KJV)18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
      King James Version (KJV)Public Domain

You can find many others at Bible Gateway. I love to use this resource in my Bible study.

  • Pray. Ask God to comfort you. I know that this in one that we, as Christians, should just automatically do, but you might be surprised at the number of people who don’t even remember to pray about it until last!
  • Distraction is a great way to stop feeling fearful. Read a book or watch a show or a movie that makes you laugh or something that is drastically different from the emotion of fear. It works! Give it a try!
  • Call prayer lines and ask people to pray with you.  This is a great one when you are struggling through a night of sadness, fear, or anxiety. These Believers are just a phone call away!
  • Try drawing, coloring, or doing a craft. I’m speaking as someone who has spent many sleepless nights. These are things that I, myself, do when fear or anxiety tries to get a hold of me. They work! Really, they do!
  • Take a hot bath. This will relax you. Try putting some fragrant bubble bath in the water with you. This will use your senses to relax you.

These are just a few of the techniques that I use and recommend. I pray that you will give them a try and see what a difference they can make in your life!

God bless,

Nikki

The Secret to a Fullfilling Life

I have re read this post and want to make ONE thing very clear. It may seem, to the reader that I am JUST talking about money, but I am not. This giving to God first applies to ALL things in your life. Things like time, money, trust, and MANY other things WILL come back to you if, and only if, you put God FIRST in them.

We are all looking for the secret to being happy. As someone who has done MANY things in her life (most of them are not something that I want to talk about here), I have found that there are few things that lead to true joy and happiness.

Solomon, I find, had a TRUE revelation of this matter. He sought happiness in many forms, yet even after having all of the money, women, and power that he could have ever wanted, he found that the secret to true joy is this.

Ecclesiastes 12

12But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body. 13The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. 14For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.

When we fear (respectfully fear Him knowing that our lives and livelihood depend on Him) and obey Him, we find that our joy expands exponentially! This is the key to joy! I know it sounds silly to many people, but after 26 years of serving Him (sometimes being fully dedicated and sometimes not as dedicated as I should have been), I have learned that life is so much brighter when we love, trust, and obey Him.

It’s quite likely that this may not make complete sense to you. That’s ok. God wants you to just give Him a chance to show you how much He loves you! He invites you to try His love and see if it isn’t as GREAT as He says it is. He wants you to give Him the opportunity to show you just how good He is. He tells us this specifically in Malachi Chapter 3.

“Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings [you have withheld]. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, this whole nation! 10 Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the [c]storehouse, so that there may be [d]food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it. 11 Then I will rebuke the [e]devourer (insects, plague) for your sake and he will not destroy the fruits of the ground, nor will your vine in the field drop its grapes [before harvest],” says the Lord of hosts. 12 “All nations shall call you happy and blessed, for you shall be a land of delight,” says the Lord of hosts. * I have emphasized this part of the text in red so that you will not miss what God has to say about what He will do if you obey Him in your giving.

If we will just trust Him and give to Him what is His, then He will pour out blessings that will completely AMAZE us!!! Let’s try it! I can tell you that this is exactly how God works!! He is true!! Seek Him FIRST and He WILL be sure that you are provided for. Give Him the first fruits of your income and He will make sure that ALL of your needs are met. All the He requires is that you do it with a grateful heart and in obedience. Do it without expecting the praise of men. The Word states this very plainly in Matthew chapter 6.

Matthew 6:1Amplified Bible (AMP)

Giving to the Poor and Prayer

“Be [very] careful not to do your [a]good deeds publicly, to be seen by men; otherwise you will have no reward [prepared and awaiting you] with I your Father who is in heaven.

It is clearly stated here that we must give without expecting or looking for credit, praise, or glory so that God is free to reward us in His own way. In this way, we are laying up our treasure in Heaven. I encourage you to read Matthew 6. It will help to put all of this into perspective for you.

As a Bible Teacher, I am blessed to have this time with you and I pray that this post will bless you as you strive to further your walk with our Heavenly Father.

Thanks for being a part of my life. You are truly a blessing!!

All my love,

Nikki

Are You Gaining Your Self Esteem In The Healthiest Way?

I’ve come across a study done by the American Psychological Association. They have determined that getting your self esteem by things like what others think of you and what position you gain at your employment may cause health issues. The healthiest kind of self esteem that can be obtained is the kind that you get intrinsically. That is to say things that you do that offer you nothing but the warm fuzzies and simply knowing that you’ve done a good thing. I am linking the article and pray that you will work to make this change in your life. This way, you can get closer to living the life that Christ died for you to have.
